McClanahan Camera (mccamera) has been in operation for over 50 years serving Northern Virginia. We are located in Warrenton, Virginia approximately 45 miles west of Washington, DC. Our top priority has and always will be customer satisfaction. We offer quality products, fast service and reasonable prices. 

 

With the ever evolving shift into digital photography here at McCamera we have updated our services and offerings to stay on pace with the rapidly developing technology. Offering many types of digitalization, from scanning negatives, slides, or even old prints, to the conversion of old vhs and film reels to DVD and Digital Video. As a constant innovator and top notch quality obsessors we at McCamera strive to ensure that no matter your needs we have them covered. McCamera offers all types of digital storage from external hard drives to high quality memory cards and flash drives. McClanahan Camera also has easy to use self-service photo printing kiosks that allow you to print your photos in all sizes directly from your camera or even a mobile device such as your iPhone or tablet. McCamera's kiosks also offer a number of photo gift printing options including t-shirts, coffee mugs, puzzles, and high quality photo books. All of which can be customized to fit your tastes through our kiosks and online services. Amongst all the technological updates McCamera has held on to it's roots and is still a leading processor of film and the best place in Northern Virginia to buy a camera. 

Owner

Robert McClanahan received an Associate Degree in Photography from RPI in 1958. He served as an aerial photographer with USMC for 3 years during which he completed the USN Photo School in Pensacola, FL. In 1961 he returned to his hometown Warrenton and opened a studio. His work was varied, doing commercial photography, weddings, portraits, sports and news events. His main concentration was on horse photography. During his high school years he assisted Marshall Hawkins, the renowned equine photographer.

 

Wife

Bridget has helped through all the phases of the business. Her main interest has been in the photo finishing division.

 

Daughter

Cindy received her degree in Nursing and Economics from UVA in 1992. After nursing at Georgetown and GW for 2 years she joined our family business in 1994. Her position is general manager in charge of sales. She is married to Keith B. Ellis and has two children, Elizabeth, born in April 2000 and Mason, born in May 2006.

 

Daughter

Wendy received her degree in Finance from VA Tech in 1996. She is married to Thomas Rodgers and has been working in the financial world. After the birth of her first child, Maddie, in late 1998 she has taken over the bookkeeping responsibilities of the store. Her second child Luke was born in June 2000. Her third child, Charlotte, was born in May 2003 and now she helps with the bookkeeping when others are on vacation.
